MANX LOTTERY TRUST GRANT SUPPORTS HOUSING MATTERS TO TACKLE HOMELESSNESS

A significant grant of £50,000 has been award to Housing Matters from Manx Lottery Trust, funded through its Dormant Assets Fund. This grant will support the establishment of a new post, Senior Support Worker and Deputy Manager, to enhance homelessness prevention and assistance services for individuals facing housing crises on the Isle of Man.

Housing Matters aims to manage and develop high-quality services in alignment with the strategic objectives of the charity. The new role will be instrumental in supervising staff and volunteers, promoting the charity, and liaising with external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.

Karl Brew, from Housing Matters, expressed gratitude saying: ‘This generous grant from the Manx Lottery Trust will allow us to strengthen our support services and respond effectively. We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity to expand our team and enhance our operational capacity.’

Stephen Turner, Chairman of Manx Lottery Trust, added: ‘We are pleased to support Housing Matters in their vital work. This grant will enable them to provide essential services to those in need, ensuring that more people have access to the support they require during challenging times.’
