HELPING OUR ISLAND’S COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE MOST IN NEED

‘Acting Early, Changing Lives’ has been announced as the theme for Manx Lottery Trust’s 2020 Community Awards Thematic Funding.

Manx Lottery Trust, as delegated partner of the National Lottery Community Fund, is inviting applications from charities and organisations for Thematic Funding. Available over a 36 month period, the funding will be awarded to projects which aim to tackle early and preventative action and improve the lives of local people.

Early interaction can work to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors in a variety of vulnerable situations across all age groups. Strong applications must provide evidence of how they will help people reach their potential by supporting them at the earliest possible stage.

The Trust has a total of £150,000 on offer, with grants available ranging from between £2,501 and £150,000 (maximum £50,000 in any one year).

Chairman of Manx Lottery Trust Sarah Kelly said: ‘The Trustees wanted to provide opportunity for as many different organisations, small and large, to submit an application and felt that this theme could be applied in many life situations.

‘By increasing the funding for acting early projects it is hoped this will bring about a reduction in the levels of preventable need. We would urge organisations to collaborate where possible and come forward with projects which enable them to work in partnership to develop locally owned solutions.’

Community Award application forms, together with guidance notes, are available on the Manx Lottery Trust website: www.mlt.org.im.

The Trustees kindly request that completed applications for consideration are received no later than Friday 28th February 2020.
