BALLAUGH BOWLING CLUB TO BENEFIT FROM MANX LOTTERY TRUST FUNDING

Ballaugh Bowling Club

A grant has been awarded to Ballaugh Bowling Club which will facilitate the development of its clubhouse.

With the £50,000 grant from the Trust’s Community Awards programme, the bowling club plan to construct an extension on the clubhouse, and improve the existing facilities to allow disabled access to the building itself.

They will also be extending the indoor toilet facilities, to include disabled toilet facilities, and additional storage facilities.

Once complete, the overall improvements will make the clubhouse an inclusive space for club members, and the wider community.

Lennie Fenton, Secretary of Ballaugh Bowling Club, said: ‘We are extremely grateful for the generous support from Manx Lottery Trust, which will allow us to make these much-needed developments to the clubhouse. We host a number of events and competitions throughout the year, so it’s essential that the clubhouse can be an accessible space for people of all ages and abilities to utilise.’

Stephen Turner, Chairman of Manx Lottery Trust, added: ‘Ballaugh Bowling Club is a valued community asset to Ballaugh, and we hope the extended facilities will enhance the members’ experience, and encourage new participants and users to get involved.’
