However if you are new to us, we would encourage you to review the step-by-step application process, as shown below. This section also features a handy guide on how to submit a completed application and a link to submission deadlines.

You are invited to apply online using the links below.

The Process

1. Review the Guidance Notes

Make sure this grant programme is right for your project. If you have questions, check our grants page or contact us.

2. Complete Outline Proposal Form (if applicable)

Before completing a full application for Community Awards or Dormant Assets Fund, you have the option to submit a short outline proposal. This helps you check if your project is eligible and whether it’s likely to be considered by the Trustees. Please note that this is not a formal application.

3. Complete the Online Application Form

Open the form using Adobe Reader and save your progress as you go.

4. Submit Your Application

Completed applications must be submitted at least 4 months before your project is due to start. We’ll confirm receipt within 5 working days.

5. We Assess Your Application

Our officers may contact you with questions to clarify details. This personalised approach keeps the application form simple and improves your chance of success. We will also inform you of the date your application will be considered by the Trustees.

6. Trustee Decision

Your application is reviewed and decided upon by the Trustees.

7. Decision Notification
  • If successful, you will receive a conditional grant offer letter within 1 week with full details of the next steps.
  • If unsuccessful, you will receive a letter within 1 week explaining our decision.
  • Once the conditional offer has been accepted by you and all relevant documentation has been completed and returned, you will receive a Confirmation of Grant letter.
8. Project Completion
  • Projects must be completed within 12 months of the grant confirmation date, unless a longer period is agreed by Trustees.
  • You must submit an End of Grant Report detailing how the grant was spent and what was achieved.
