With the help of Community Awards Thematic Funding the Mobile Family Library have launched their bibliotherapy initiative, with sessions planned around the island on a one to one basis, or in groups.

Bibliotherapy is an social interaction of people around books. The Librarians choose a topic and open the discussion. It helps to maintain a healthy and active mind, friendships are formed and it prevents isolation for those who are unable to get out very often. Initially, the focus is on older people in the community, but it is a project that can be rolled out to other age groups.
