MANX CARRIAGE DRIVING 4 DISABLED "MAKE THE WHEELS GO ROUND"

Manx Carriage Driving 4 Disabled are now the proud owners of Bertie and the Bennington Superstar Carriage. The purchase was made possible with a grant from the Manx Lottery Trust.

Bertie is one of only two ponies available to MCD4D who can pull the Superstar carriage which is designed to carry a wheelchair.

Driving sessions are held at Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre, Santon on Friday afternoons, with help of enthusiastic volunteers who work hard to "make the wheels go round".

A free taster session is offered to persons with disabilities to allow them and MCD4D to assess if carriage driving is for them. For more information please visit WWW.MCD4D.org Bertie's blog is a must read!
