Terms of Appointment of Trustees

- 6.2 Subject to clause 6.3 the trustees shall serve a term of five years and a retiring trustee shall be eligible to be appointed for one further consecutive term subject to a maximum of two terms.

Appointment of New Trustees
In the case of a vacancy, a new trustee shall be appointed by unanimous resolution of the remaining trustees within three months of such vacancy occurring but no such appointment shall take effect without written concurrence of the Treasury and if the vacancy occurs for the Tynwald trustee the new trustee shall be a member of Tynwald.
The trustees have decided that the appointment of future trustees -with the exception of trustees to be appointed by Tynwald - will be opened to all members of the public. Advertisements will be placed in at least two local newspapers to ensure transparency each time a replacement or additional trustee is required. However, this policy does not apply in the cases of second-term appointments for serving trustees.
