The newly formed Manx Fungus Group has been awarded £500, under the minor grant scheme, towards  the cost of a microscope for fungus identification.

Chairman, of IOM Fungus Group, Liz Charter says"Fungi are a much neglected part of our biodiversity. Information gathered will be entered into the Biological Records Database at Manx Museum and used to conserve this apsect of our biodiversity. It will also be part of a wider education programme to keep people safe from poisoning from fungi".
