Chairman of EVGC, Alison Harvey welcomed guests to the club for the opening of the viewing gallery extension on Tuesday 6th September 2011. Alison thanked all those who had provided funds to enable the project to be completed, including the Manx Lottery Trust, and everyone who had worked to ensure completion of the project in time for the Common Wealth Youth Games. The opening was carried out by David Cretney MHK and Helen Duggan, Head Coach and Treasurer of EVGC. Representatives of the Trust were delighted to see the finished gallery, particularly the impressive glass balustrade, and were given a tour of the club by Alison and Helen.
